About Sam
Sam McColl is a developing Australian circuit racing driver focused on building experience, professionalism, and long-term progression within competitive motorsport.
Who Sam Is
Based in Australia, Sam is committed to developing his racecraft, technical understanding, and discipline both on and off the track. His approach to motorsport is structured and deliberate, with a strong emphasis on learning, consistency, and professionalism.
Early Circuit Racing Experience
Sam entered circuit racing through the national licensing pathway as soon as he became age-eligible. Prior to turning 14, his on-track experience was limited to structured preparation and familiarisation in a full-sized race car.
On his 14th birthday, Sam completed his Observed Licence Test (OLT) during the official practice day at Morgan Park Raceway in Warwick. He then immediately transitioned into competitive racing, competing across the full race meeting that weekend. The event included qualifying and multiple races across Saturday and Sunday, marking his first competitive circuit racing experience.
Following this debut race meeting, Sam continued to build experience through targeted practice sessions before competing in the final round of the AASA Track Attack series at Queensland Raceway later in the year. These two race meetings formed the foundation of his early circuit racing program.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, Sam’s focus is on building experience through full championship participation from 2026 onwards, with an emphasis on consistency, development, and long-term progression within circuit racing.
